Never mind 007, Idris Elba has got more original stuff to do, like a new Luther and making his own movies.
Yardie, directed by Elba, is based on the cult novel by Victor Headley and centres on a young Jamaican named “D” who arrives in London in the early 1980s and unexpectedly discovers the man who assassinated his revered brother in Jamaica a decade earlier. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in British theatres on August 31.
The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 24, 2018 and is now available for pre-order. And what will be on there? Well, shhh – but here be the play list.
