We fucking loves these crazy bastards – how can you not like a band called Cybernetic Witch Cult? Heavy, psychedelic, trippy, DIY ethos and a huge sense of humour.
In their own words – Cybernetic Witch Cult are a Stoner Metal/Psychedelic Rock trio from the South West of England, taking influences from 70’s Rock, Stoner, Sludge, Prog Rock, and Doom Metal. Formed in 2015, the band has self-released a demo and four studio albums, (with a handful of live albums to match)
They turned this album around within hours of getting home from the gig with Lacertilia in Fuel, Cardiff, so it is warts and all. Just as it should be. But it is (presumably) recorded off the sound desk ‘cos the quality is actually quite decent. Heavy, but intelligent and occasionally quite trippy, this album stands up against any other album from the current wave of bands on the psychedelic scene. Tune in, turn on, freak out.
