Peppermint Iguana Radio # 352, first broadcast on 24th February 2026, was a break from the usual format.
We usually focus on the best of the new releases from beyond the mainstream. This week though, we have gone a bit retro. We have recently moved the Peppermint Iguana HQ. In the process we have had to box up our record collection and we are now digging them out of their crates and sorting them out on their new shelves. We decided to have a shelf just for box sets.
So this show, features tunes picked out from box sets we have got our mitts on over the last year or so. There’s mod-psych, heavy-psych, punk, post-punk, psych-punk and indie-dance. And nothing newer than 1992. No dub, drum’n’bass, blues soul or anything like that, purely because I haven’t bought any recently. But we may well revisit this idea as the unpacking continues.
